First time my FP has been this low. Reading 50psi this morning on my way to work. By the time I reached work the FP reading was 55psi. After work the reading was at 58psi. After the engine warmed up to normal temps my reading went from 58 to 52 WOT. I was used to seeing 60 to 62 without any drop during WOT.
I know on my next oil change I am scheduled for a fuel filter change. (every 15000 klms or 9000 miles). Am I getting ready to replace my fuel pump or what?
My IPR was at 21.5 and ICP was 586 at idle after warmed up to temp. Didn't make note during my drive.
Any suggestions. Like I said my next oil change is in about 1500 klms or 900 miles.
All filters are OEM. I use the white bottle in the winter and grey in the summer.
Subscribing, because my FP has been in the mid 50's too, after being in the 60psi range since installing the blue spring. I assume you have the blue spring also. My fuel filters are also going to be due in a few thousand miles. If you change yours now, please let us know if FP rebounds. Even at 50psi it should not be a problem, and I don't believe it is a pump problem. I wondered if it was just a normal relaxation of the newish spring.
ICP and IPR have nothing to do with FP, as I'm sure you know. So I'm not clear on why you gave us those values.
What is your normal fuel pressure since you say this is the first it's been this low? Not sure who your measuring your FP...electronic sensor or mechanical gauge. The only reason I ask that is because I've seen my EV2 show some strange numbers two different times in the 6 months I've had it installed. Showed 90psi while running down the highway. The only thing I can come up with is a bogus signal from the sensor since I can't find anything psychically wrong with my regulator.
Yes to new blue spring upgrade. Not sure why I put the ICP and IPR readings in my post.
Now this morning my FP when't back to normal 62 -63 psi. I am still trying to figure this out. I will keep a close eye on the readings though. I will also update if any change will occur from now till my filter replacement.
Finished changing my fuel filters. When up to 63psi. Today it's jumping from 45 to 60. Even at idle. Planning to change my FP sender. Anyone know of a good place?
Other than what came with my Isspro EV2 gauge, I don't have any other advice for a replacement fuel pressure sender.

Anyone got any comments on that?? Thanks.
Pretty much what mine is doing...and I haven't installed the Blue Spring yet. Got it sitting on the shelf with the rest of the parts (oil cooler replacement)...just haven't had time to work on it. Dang employer keeping me busy.

Mine was back to 63psi this morning when I glanced at it. Nothing has changed except a new tank of fuel.
I have the FP sender that came with the Edge system, but it is an ISSpro sender. I haven't had any reason to suspect that it isn't reading correct. The display is stable.
If you have a bubble of air in the line to the sender it can cause erratic readings that jump around. If you have something like the extender hose that Strickly sells, you might want to try purging it. If you don't have that hose, when you change your sender would be a good time to add one and get that sender out of the danger zone.
Any standalone 2" gauge for fuel pressure, and Edge insight CS/CTS and DashDaq are expandable to include fuel pressure, but they're more expensive than a standalone gauge.
what gauges check FP ? Im going to do the blue spring when I do my next filter change and oil change?Im new to diesels thanks and God Bless !!!!
These trucks don't have OEM sensor for fuel pressure, so you have to add your own sender and whatever type of gauge you like. It's a big topic, and well covered here, so do a search and you'll have plenty to read. Adding the gauge at the same time as the blue spring update is ideal.
Crystal ***** don't work on a 6.0! Spell checkers are fun sometimes!

Oops, oh well if we can't laugh at ourselves who can we laugh at? Guess that's what happens when your posting to the forums early in the mornings after being at work most of the night. Besides, I don't use a crystal ball....I use one of those magic eight *****. Much higher success rate with it!!!

As Bill has already posted, there is no OEM sensor for fuel pressure...the PCM doesn't even know. Which is strange since fuel pressure is so important for a long service life of the fuel injectors. I purchased the Isspro EV2 fuel pressure gauge in my truck from RiffRaff. It's mounted in an A-pillar gauge pod, also from RiffRaff.
