24" doesn't quite get me to the bottom of the door so I would not have an issue with it. Not saying you should do it, I have got a few stuck in my day! And a couple washed away!
Once drove a motorhome (rented of course) through a fairly fast moving stream. It was not quite 2' deep but got deeper than shown in the pic. Got pretty interesting when water started pushing on the side and she started to go downstream. Like with most situations putting her to the floor got us across. At least we were smart enough to dump the trailer so the dirtbikes were not in any danger

I got my '11 stuck in a decent water/mud hole in the fall; up to the fender in the front and to the hubs in the rear. That ended up tearing up both of my rear axel seals, but I don't think it was from the water....the mud hole was a sort of silt sand that I think got in the brakes and behind the rotors; that is what I believe caused the issue with the seals. I don't think water along up to the hubs would cause an issue with the seals.
