Well I would sell my set of slots for 2600 and give you my set of turbines to boot....even 900 is crazy.
Here is a different set I have waiting in the barn for the bronco some day, Allied Rockathon 32 bolt bead locks. I will mount them when I get done wearing out the boggers.
if its still there a fellow sells restored turbines on evilbay for around 1200 a set but he re-machines them and every thing, will paint to match ect very nice peices i just bought 5 new rims for my bronco 180 each so its still not to bad if thats the look you want but seeing as i had 3 full sets [12 tires total] of brand new 245 16 10 ply bridgstones sitting in my garage i had to use them they were stock tires on the older chevs they wore the 1st 4 out, bought a new set and a new spare and the old one i bought on kiji and i didnt pay any more than 75 to 100 for a brand new tire!!
wow hard to belive! had to give them away that sucks what i dont like on our dents is the 20" big wheel, sissy small tire combo theres one in the area and an early 80s gm i just shake my head ok for city folk i guess but it just dont cut it in the bush 1 pot hole and the rim is done i still like the "old school" look but to each his own

I'm with you on that one, 20 inch "dubs" and low profile tires on a dent just look downright ridiculous, i've seen my fair share of that horrendous combo (on ebay), all you can do is shake your head in disbelief.

Agreed, the only way I'd ever run a 20" rim is with a 40" or bigger tire... gotta at least double the rim size on a 4x4 or it just looks wrong imo
I've never been a fan of turbines/cyclones/hurricanes on our trucks, to me they seem better suited on an 80's era Econoline van.
I couldn't even sell a set on Craigslist for 50 bucks, i ended up just setting them by the side of the road and someone picked them up.
Yeah, I'm with you on this one. Back in the day, my dad had turbines on his truck. Never cared for them.
I will concede; however, that the $1150 turbines on e-bay (restored and painted) do look pretty sweet!
Ever since I had the dually, I've been a big fan of the "classic" Alcoa design. I keep looking for some nice M/T's or Eagle 058's in 16.5 8x6.5 for the yellow truck...
Powder coated Jackmans on my old truck
H2s for my new truck
I like those Jackmans, the others... I'm not so sure about yet, they look like there missing a center cap or something... idk, they just look a bit off... Don't get me wrong i like em, but it just seems like somethings missing...
does any1 know what those 8 lug rims that look similar 2 the general lee rims r? where i can find them and how much they r. those r my favorite rims
Not to sure who makes them (American Racing?), but they are normaly referred to as Western Cyclone Hurricane, turbines or fins. They are a older rim design and are getting harder to locate.
You can find them in a 5 on 5 1/2 15" for a 1/2 ton and in a 8 on 6 1/2 16.5" for a 3/4 ton. As far as I know the 3/4 ton ones are not made in 16" and 16.5 tires are hard to locate.
Sounds like you can get them for "free" to 1000 of dollars.....I would guess 300 to 400 can buy a set off the Craigslist?
I really want to remove the stock 16.5 on my 74CS. The wheel I think I like is the American Torque Thrust D, but I am not sure I can simply go up to a 17" wheel. Some have said it will work some say no way.
If looking to 16" rims to give you a better range and availability of tires, I think the only issue might be on a F250 D60 axle duel front piston brake caliper clearance.
Also all depends on the offset/back spacing (google it to get smart) amount you get of you new rims. I am sure the tire/wheel shop will assist you on that.
