Being a self proclaimed wheel *****, but love the old school slots, cragers, keystones, even low spoke count wires. centerline autodrags, also thin turbines are cool. Deep dishes with 15" t/a radials. I am a street truck guy. I do appreciate factory 4 wd with factory wheels and old school armstrong tru trac tires. The new stuff doesn't look right on dents, just my opinion. Which means squat! Love the input so far. Keep them coming.

Rat, I'm with you. But, in my defense, I had a line on some slots but the dude sold them and I then found my current wheels and tires for $400 including the matching spare. After argueing with my self, I convinced me that they are a "current" type of a slot and the tires have 15/32" tread and they were bought from a local who had them on a '70 Bronco. Maybe I will find some slots after all.
I ran out of old tires (that arn't mounted)... wood shipping pallets, actuall motor stands, and indoor floor space about 2 months ago, so I'm making due lol... Dad won't let me put the extra motor's in the living room (yet).. trying to decide what motor I actually want on that truck I have a 302 (turned sideways on there) a 351-w, a 351-m (mounted up atm) a 390, and I'm looking at a 460 tommorow (hopefully)... (that's just the ford motors lol)
They want $2,600 for that set of 16" polished slots!!!
Last I heard it was $900....I just bought 4 (8 on 6 1/2) 9.75 x16.5 aluminum hurricane fins for $150 off the ol craigslist. (Thanks again Alan for the run)
I got them for a fellow FTE'er, so they are out there you just have to get to looking.
i allways thought the turbines looked good on these trucks too bad they were never made in 16" i passed up a few sets for my bronco just to go with the 16" rim and a 285 tire
I've posted these pics of mine a few times, but I'll do it again. LOL
Not really happy with the quality of Cragar's powder coating, but it could just be that I didn't take great care of them.
