I found someone parting out this truck on ebay. My hood has been worked back into shape by me. you cant tell from 20 feet but it still annoys me. This truck is the exact same color as mine and the hood appears pristine.....with a scoop! waiting to hear back from the seller. What would you guys pay for it if it was pristine and the exact same color as yours?
it is a link so you will have to follow it to check out the photo.
I was thinking something around that. a new primed replacement is about $300.
If any one out there is looking for a chrome front trim package this one looks pretty good. Front bumper looks pretty good too...Midnight!!! Midnight! here's your front bumper!!!! get rid of that POS! hehe.

I already have the same bumper on my truck... Lol till I get around to building one anyways
Yeah but the truck the hood is attached to... I just find it kind of interesting that he would post it for sale as a transmission and yet post picks of a whole truck... Something smells fishy there...

Actually most junkyards do that. They post several pictures of just the truck, and then list a single part that they are selling off of it. I would say it's to save them time, if they are selling many parts off the one truck, then they can just make all their listings with the same pictures.
And this is most likely why it ended up in the scrapyard where it sits now (look at the bed):
yup, the large dinger in the bed, plus it's a 2wd f 150with 168K on it. How many lines need to be replaced? Brakes, coolant, gas? what's the most you'd pay for a a 96 2wd aod 302 with 168k even without the large dent? That's why these lighter duty vehicles get parted out more frequently. Not a plow truck, not a heavy hauler. worth more as parts.
