The Under the Dash What the Heck is it thread?
Just went in to replace the shift lever and noticed a few odd ends that I can't name. Anybody been under their dash that can tell me what any of these are or what they go to?
The first is a tensioner and mines broken:
The second is a stout plug near the E-brake:
The third is three plugs next to the console (all of these are on the driver's side):
And the fourth is structural but I can't see what it does or why it's neccesary:
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The first one is the adjuster for the PRND12 indicator. Id can tweak the position of your transmission indicator small amounts.
For three, the lower right two are for a 12 volt power/lighter socket.
4 is part of the structure of the van, it keeps the steering column out of your crotch if the nose collapses. (head on collision)

Thanks! I'll have to check those bits (my power socket and gear selector indicator).
I'll have to put a multimeter on them on Monday.

2 is the old connection for the Knuter valve.
I just looked on my 2000 and I don't have that connector. However I have a 5 pin about the same size that is below the E-brake that is factory taped to the outside of a large wiring harness. It's close to the floor and nothing is connected to it either.
