I hear ya! you should be able to shake any gremlins hiding in there out in that distance. Wish ours had AC in the seats. It gets hot in the summer at the beach. good luck and let us know how you like the '11. My wife is working hard at wearing this one out. '09 with 84K miles. I will let you know how well they stand up to max miles.

photobucket.com for the pics. no hassle to upload and share

which Expy did you get?

if you haven't bought yet, I'd like to throw out the idea of a Flex. It's smaller, but damn if it isn't nice. Got 4 kids and we all fit comfortably in it. I'm probably going back to a larger SUV in 5-10yrs once they're all bigger though

First post on this particular FTE forum. We spent the ENTIRE week researching mid-size and large SUV's and checking inventories. Went to the city today and test drove or at least looked at pretty much all of the full-sized SUV's seemingly. The third row seat in the Expedition sold us. The 3rd row in a Tahoe/Yukon is a joke (I'm sorry if that offends anyone, but there's no comparison between it and the Ford 3rd row). The Armada had NO headroom in the third row. The Infiniti X60 (I think that was the name) was gorgeous, but ridiculously priced. Test drove a new Explorer--nice but kind of cramped (again, especially in the third row). So several HOURS later, we drove off with a leftover 2011 Expedition and a pretty killer deal. I like it so far. We had an 03 Expedition in the past--very comparable to that one (because basically there's been very little changes, LOL).

The tahoe also has a 3rd row removeable seat. The expedition has a power fold seat that is flat. Here is the online pictures of the expy. I really liked the navigator as well but I couldn't justify 8-12k more for basically the same truck. apps.dealerconnection.com/dealers/dondavisford/used-inventory?&_eventId_vehicledetails=true&vin=1FMJU1 K51AEB67071&dealerPACode=02417&certifiedPreownedIm g=true

We were shopping for a new/used SUV and make the mistake of getting in a Lincoln navigator.. It was over from that point, my wife was set in her mind on those.

Pilot was too small and we didn't want to have to buy other vehicle as our kids got bigger.

We looked and looked and finally got a 2008 Navigator L and absolutely love it. It works in every sense of the word, is incredibly roomy, and the third row power seats are great. MPGs is running between 11.5 and 16, which isn't bad considering the room. Very stylish as well.

My dad has an 2007 EXPY EL, which we liked also, but couldn't find one with the options we wanted in our price range.
