valve cover gaskets
I've got a 89 f150 with a 302. the valve cover gaskets are leaking on it. it looks like a job to replace them. what all is involved in putting it on and how long would it take. Also when it gets warmed up the throtle gets hung up. when i cut it off it works fine for a while and does it again. is there a sensor or something messed up? thanks

As far as the valve cover gaskets go (it is injected, right) the drivers side Isn't so bad the pain is the passenger side. This will involve removing the upper plenum. I'll let you decide how long it will take you. I went and cleaned everything and repainted the valve covers so it was a good day project. I recommend getting a new gasket for where the upper and lower bolt. The sticking throttle could be a dirty throttle body. Mine used to do that til I cleaned it. Mine was pretty obvious when I looked inside it was really coked up- lots of carbon buildup. Hope that helps some. RSH
