Radiator needed.
I tried to fix my radiator today and i think i made it worse.
Just trying to plan ahead, but does any have a used radiator for sale near buffalo area?
I'll have my boss look at it tomorrow to see if he can braze it closed, but if he cant I'm going to need a used one that doesn't leak.
I think mines a front flange? with a 400 auto trans and a 79.
I think i have a three core now that's huge, not the factory radiator, so something a little smaller would be OK with me.
Let me know what you have, thanks.

Well I work in a welding shop lol.
And last night I tried to fix it and made it worse.
It has two or three leaks the worse one on the top tank.
I'm going
To have my boss check it out and see what he can do first then go from there.
Earthquake if I can't fix it or what ever I'll hit you up, think I could meet you north of Springfield if I was to buy it from you?

I also found out to relieve the pressure first before trying to solder the tank.
Hey we live and learn, now I know.
But now I have to remove the radiator to get better access to the upper tank. And remove the old solder I put on so my boss can do his thing.
But I'll probably have him show me how to do it, I haven't done solder with a torch before.
So I'll let you know.

I stayed till 8;30 last night and worked on it 2 hr today, that damn thing will not seal for nothing.
Earthquake what size is yours?
I have another member that has the size radiator i would like to get, but i wanna be fair.
I'm going to try to get my boss to look at it and try his skills on it, if he cant get it to seal, I'll have to buy another one.

As far as a radiator shop in Bolivar not off the top of my head, and the last good radiator shop guy got shot by the cops in the town of Fairplay.....so its closed now.
Let me ask my xbro inlaw and see if he knows the name or has a idea....
Not to cut no one out of the deal but ever heard of 1800 RADIATOR I think even Alan has used them, great source for a new one.

1800 radiator saved me a hundred bucks on one deal, but cost me $50 extra on the next. Call around and compare prices. Sometimes the chain store is cheaper, sometimes 1800 radiators is cheaper.
My radiator is 26 1/2" wide X 19 1/2" tall. I measured the cores only. (the actual cooling fins) The physical size is larger than that.

Are they used radiators?
I still haven't got around to trying again, from what i understand, using a acid core solder is the best for radiators.
I was using rosin core the first time, not sure the mixture, but i ran out of that and bought some 50/50 solid core, so i might try the acid core and see what that nets me.
