Very good pics!! I like how they did that. I'm assuming they hauled the wedding party up in the trailer, and then the bride got out last? Good idea for a country outdoor wedding. Very nice truck. Hate that I'm gonna miss it this weekend.
Two years ago, I hauled my 50 home from Georgia. When I unloaded it, I was in a hurry to get to my friend's wedding. So I said what the heck and drove it up to the church. Hardly any brakes, and it sputtered a few times on the way there. When I pulled into the parking lot, the photographer attacked me and insisted on using it for pictures. They quickly decided to use it as the "getaway" vehicle after the ceremony. I was TERRIFIED that the truck wouldn't start in front of all those people or they'd get killed on the way to the reception. I kept telling him over and over to please realize it had very little brakes, etc. I had driven the truck a grand total of 5 miles straight off the trailer when they climbed into it with all the cameras rolling.
Really makes all the work worthwhile, doesn't it?!
It sure does. I have three daughters and a son. Two of the daughters are already married; hopefully the truck will have a part in the two remaining weddings.
I have been blessed to have a few of my trucks be part of weddings, parades and a few funerals. Nothing like having an old truck bring smiles to many faces. That is why I work long hours restoring my trucks. Thanks for sharing the pics.
Hey Doraville,
Everyone looks like they had a blast - I especially like the smiling bride pic in the cab. Ok now what are all those haybales in the field for - benches? (Your truck looks great - I wish I had set mine up to tow).
Doc - Is that your black truck masquerading as a white truck?
