cranking torsion

hey, how do i crank the torsion bars? i have read the thing on the ranger station, but am not exactly sure what to do, can someone take a pic of the "torsion bolt" or is that the bolt on bottom??

Personally, it's not something that I would do with my truck. Be sure you really want to do it before you start the job. And keep in mind that playing with your torsion bars may throw some other things out of whack.

cranking torsion

let me know if you plan on cranking your torsion bars, and how well it turns out. i have had preminitions of doing it myself, but have heard good and bad things about it. -rcm

cranking torsion

I recently cranked the torsion bars on my '03 Ranger to raise the front end level with the back end. Took it to a shop right afterwards, expecting it to need a front-end alignment. The mechanic showed me on his computer that my alignment, and even my torsion bar/ride height were all withing specs. He said I should not have any problems whatsoever. If you decide to crank your torsion bars, I recommend you do take it and get the alignment checked or adjusted as needed.
