Need More 3 Valve Performance!

Ok I did the 5 star tune, I cant say enough about this thing, but it now has me craving more, which I am not sure is possible haha..

Engine Mods:
-AirAid Intake (Found used for less than $100 on eBay)
-Poweraid TB Spacer (I got this included with the intake, I know it does NOTHING, but I think it sounds kinda cool for the time being haha)
-Flowmaster 50 SUV exhaust
-5 Star Performance Tune
-Currently have 4:10 gears, plan on upgrading later in the summer when I get new tires, most likely do 4:88s, I have 35s currently...

That being said, is there anything else for the 3 valve that exists? I am not seeing anything at all for these engines??

Like I tell everyone I dont need the power, I just have a craving for MORE, plus its something to spend my money on, enjoy, and keep me out of trouble for the most part haha

Edit, Guess I should mention, I am still thinking an electric fan conversion, possibly looking into an understand pulley set from am 5.4 V8?

Gears are going to be your best bet. Best bang for your buck after the 5 Star tuner. If you have 4.10 already, you're right on with at least the 4.88's. Especially if you have also 35's.

Was it necessary or advised to do anything with the stock exhaust system?

I dont think exhaust will do anything other than sounds, after talking with Mike at 5 Star, he does not take exhaust into account with his tunes, but he does with intake systems. Take that as you wish though.

I'm in the same boat, other than the TB spacer and I have no muffler in place. Unless someone can come out with either a turbo or supercharger, I think we're at the top of our range unless you install nitrous.

guess the clutch fan will be next, I just need to find time to work on it, I am working OT at work, in the middle of a home remodel project and in need of routine service work on both of our vehicles..

Smaller and lighter tires and wheels would help!

That is a problem when an engine has been done well, there is not much you can do to improve it! The engine has been completely optimized for it's intended purpose. The induction and exhaust systems are not restrictions, they can flow as much as the engine (in it's current state of tune) can ingest and exhaust.

Next steps are to increase displacement (custom pistons or forced induction) or modify the powerband with new custom cams.

We do take exhaust systems in acct tuning wise there are default changes in tune to acct for when one changes a muffler

Maybe a dumb question Mike but when a tuner is ordered along with your recommended exhaust components the strategies are tailored to those?

Mike, would there be a difference in tuning required if a drop-in filter was used versus an intake system?

I must of miss understood you, sorry about that, you must of said something more along the lines of stock or aftermarket, and if aftermarket you can swap it as much as you want without changing the tunes..
