I have a 2008 f 550 with a 6 4 lt.It has a trouble code of 20e2 exhaust gas temp senser1/2 coalition bank 1.Whick side is bank one and how do you check out this trouble code.My guess is the senser is bad
There's only 1 bank in our trucks. EGT11 is the one before the CAT, EGT12 is the one after the CAT. Sounds like the EGT11 or EGT12 sensor is out of spec, or there's something going on inside their connectors if I'm reading this description correctly
P20E2 - Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 1/2 Correlation Bank 1
Description: The powertrain control module (PCM) monitors the 3 exhaust gas temperature (EGT) sensors at key ON, engine OFF, following an 8-hour soak to determine if a concern is present. The PCM compares the values of the 3 EGT sensors to verify the sensors correlate to each other. The test fails when the temperature difference at EGT bank 1, sensor 1 (EGT11) is greater than 25°C (45°F).
Possible Causes: Corrosion or incorrect connection terminals and wiring
Damaged EGT sensor
Diagnostic Aids: Monitor the EGT11 and EGT12 PIDs at key ON, engine OFF to verify the concern.
