Hellwig sway bar installed, but extra nuts?

Installed my Hellwig today. Pretty easy job, as others have stated though, instructions are horrible. I figured most everything out but have some extra nuts. Is that normal? It came with 8 half inch regular nuts and 2 half inch lock nuts. The install only takes 6 of these (3 for each shock bracket). My question is, is one of the nuts on each shock bracket supposed to get the lock nut? If I had to guess I'd guess maybe the top nut on each bracket? What with the other 2 extra nuts? Are they really extras or should they go somewhere? lol

If I remember right, I put the lock nuts in the bottom of the links.

bottom of the links came with 7/16" lock nuts so those are good, these are 1/2" and only 2 of them, which I thought was strange. Oh well, I guess everyone had extra parts. I'll probably just swap out the top 2 regular nuts on the shockplate bracket for the lock nuts. Thanks for the replies!

Took it out for the first drive today. Man what a difference. Cornering 100% improved. potholes and road bumps seem less likely to need correction from steering wheel as well. Best update so far. Hope my shocks come tomorrow

Double nut the lower shock brackets. A single nut will shake loose after a week on gravel roads. It gets exciting driving with a loose shock bracket!
