Front sway bar hardware missing

Front sway bar hardware missing

Started to install a leveling kit and noticed the front sway bar end links are bolted to nothing. Just hanging there. Anyone else notice this on there trucks?

With the tire off I found the flange they're supposed to be bolted to. Either the bottom nut fell off or it was never installed.

Maybe someone was trying to steal your sway bar, Id, check the rest of the hardware. If the nut was installed at the factory there will be a mark on the lower mount point. Are both sides missing?

Both bottom nuts are gone and the top nuts were so loose those were about to come off as well.

I found a local dealer in town that have 2 nuts left in stock so Im going to head over there and pick them up to install before they close. $5 a piece nuts.

What the hell? It would be nice to know what's up with that. Maybe a little Loc-tite while you're at it.

sounds like a possible theft, and they got scared off. Probably someone wrecked their truck or damaged the suspension and needs that part. Better check shock mounts and everything else.
