I am new to this forum, but I am an IDI 6.9l and 7.3 pre-powerstroke diesel guru. What can you guys tell me bout this truck....its a 2000 6.8l F-250 extended cab long box....4x4...
Benifits from a tuner from 5 Star as well as the Y pipe from 5 Star.
Can have broken exhaust manifold studs.
Can eject spark plugs if the threads have ever been damaged. If you change he plugs, follow the procedure outlined in many threads on here and you'll do fine.
Some have had broken dip stick tubes (5.4 also).
And the same flaws SD's with other engines may have.
Well I plan to have the plugs done at a diesel mechanic shop that worked on my IDI...he does good work and i trust him.....ima just follow what he does cause I know he has a V10, and they are powerhouses...
On another note, I dont care about mileage because I just recently became single so I have a decent job, drive 5 blocks to work, 2 days a week off....and pay a phone bill and a little rent( live at the parents house...its nice, im only 20)....
Truck **** on da way, plan to clean her up and throw up before and after....now i will say that my buddies at the IDI diesel forum were mad when i told them what I bought....
Is this thingy what you guys were talking about when it came to the 5 star tuning and y-pipe? What are the gains? The website is saying that the V10 only has 165 RWHP? Your telling me that this truck looses almost HALF its power by the time the power hits the tires?!
