keepn 3 on the tree

Ok I yanked the six cyl out of my 1966 f100 this weekend and am ready to drop in the 302. Iam keeping the 3 speed stick because its fine for just cruising, So do I get a clutch for the v8 or the 6? I have a v8 flywheel. will the pilot brg work from the 6?

I got a clutch for the 302,,, I am doing the same thing here soon,, if I can get the time,,, let us know how it goes!! I would go with 302 clutch/TO and PP,,, I would take the flywheel and put it on the Trans shaft to see if the Pilot bearing works,, I am going with it to work, as Ford had a few different tranny options then,,,

there was a long thread on this just a week or two ago.

count the teeth on your flywheels- they need to match. the 302 flywheel may not be the same size as the 6-cyl flywheel, which means your starter may not line up properly.
