7.3 6spd.

Iv got a friend of mine with a 2000 f 250 4x4 7.3 with a 6 speed manual.
When he dumps the clutch, the pedal seems to not have the bounce back resistance it once had. It will go through the gears just Fine. Pedal just seems weak.
He said he already tried to bleed the clutch resivoir from the fill point to the trans. He was teying to get any air out. It didn't fix.

He now suspects that the master cylinder or the slave cylinder or both is out. How can he Tell which one or both it is? Anything else this problem could be? Any ideas?

No one ever had this problem? Am I even in the ballpark in my thinking on this?

There is an assit spring under the dash that makes the clutch pedal feel lighter.
Just remove that spring and it should feel much heavier!

My friend wants the pedal back to stock. Something has failed. Just don't know what.
Thanks for the reply though!
