Bounce, bounce, bounce

Bounce, bounce, bounce
Test drove an Ex yesterday. It bounced around a lot while going over a bumpy road. Bounce seemed to come from the rear. Is this just bad struts? This is the first Ex I have driven. Just want to make sure this isn't something they all do.

The rear is shocks not struts.
What year and model level? What engine?
Tow package or no?
My 2003 V-10 4x4 with factory tow package is all stock and while it does bounce some it is much better than the 2002 4x4 F250 I have do to the weight.
It is not a car it rides like a heavy duty truck because it IS a heavy duty truck...Super Duty in fact.

I can't speak for every X owner, but I do know that the X has a reputation for wandering and general ill handling. Installing new shocks and a rear sway bar made a world of difference for my Excursion. If you do decide to buy an X, you will find all the info you need to get it fixed up here in this forum.
