ok, i know you all aint going to wanna hear this, but i think i am going to take the 7.3 idi out and drop in a powerstroke, i got a line on a 95 powerstroke for a reasonable price, i have been told the e4od trans will bolt right up to it, and the seller claims to have the ecm for it, what else do i need in the conversion

 

I think the torque converter/ flywheel is different. (4 stud vs 6 stud?) I believe you also need all the wiring...dash wiring too? I was offered a Psd for a good price in the past and I think I remember reading that when I was considering the swap

 

ok here is what i think i need and have a line on, 95psd complete, wire harness, ecm, pump driver, accell pedal assembly. my truck is a 90 and has abs rear axle, i think i read that is a must. supposedly the engine still has all the electronic stuff on it, i will use my stock dash, the E4OD tranny in it has a mechanical cable to run the speedo, i can get the engine, harness, ecm, driver and pedal for around 2500

 

2500. for $2500-3000 i'd go find a whole truck that runs so you'll have everything u need that you may be forgetting. that's just me though. is there a reason you wanna go threw all the trouble?? pete
