Can anyone who owns a 68 69 Ranger, tell me if they have trim behind the seat just below the window? This trim is to cover the edge of material that comes up the back, behind the seats.
what kinda of material are you talking about. the only thing below the window should be the gas tank. The whole back of the cab is painted and not covered.
I came across a 1968 Ranger this truck was at a wrecking yard. All parts original from what I can see. I removed a near perfect pair of bucket seats from this truck. Behind the seats and a inch or two below back window was a chrome strip that was a perfect fit. This trim has three parts to it. The two longer pieces have a bend for the corners and a perfect bend and a small butt connector type of piece. This trim was holding the edge of the carpet material that came up the back.
I can't imagine anyone finding trim bent to fit a ranger cab for this purpose. I'll take a picture of this trim and post it.
it must have been a bucket seat deal, I have had a dozen or more of these trucks and none had carpet running up the back of the cab. Did this carpet cover the gas tank itself?
I agree with the bucket seats maybe being the difference. I've never seen any type of chrome trim above the gas tank. Please post a pic when possible. I will repost a lighter picture when I get back home.

Not sure the carpet was deteriorated, there was still carpet under the trim. and remnants of carpet on and around fuel tank.
Hey guys, I am the original owner of a 68 Ranger and have been looking for a pair of those seats for my truck. I first saw this set up on a Camper Special with an under frame tank , the cab was cut and mated to a slide in camper. This was in California while I was in the Navy back in 68.
If any one has a set of these seats with the brackets please let me know ,ksnunez@***.net Kenny Nunez
I have never seen this trim piece, looks factory. The bucket seat 67 up rangers are rare.
The seats are standard mustang low back bucket seats. The brackets are correct to mount the seats. These brackets center the seat on the steering column and the do not work in 65 66 trucks as the column is in a differing location.

I'm thinking seriously of installing these in my 64 I centered the column with the dash panel when building this truck years ago. They measure right for heighth. If I'm not happy after installation (depending on high up I sit) I might have the bracket cut down. (taking a section from the middle then tig weld back together) Just depends on how I sit.
