Need some diagnostic help.

New poster, love this forum. I bought a 2004 6.0 Lariat c/c 4x4 with 165,000 miles on it. Absolutely love this truck, but having some problems now. Problem started with FIW light, Drained water from plug, changed fuel filters, but light keeps returning. Drained fuel from plug several times and treated fuel but no difference. Started losing power with low or no boost. With a slight hesitation on acceleration. Problem continued with truck running rough from startup on. Cranks right up. Changed oil and filter. pulled EGR, cleaned it, clogged with dry soot. Pulled MAP and EGP and cleaned tubes. truck ran good with good boost for about 1/4 mile then returned to same problem. Programed X-Gauges into my SG ll. Here are my readings after driving to operating temp at idle.

Temp 209
EOT 222
ICP 587 Never got over 1100 during drive.
FMP 47.0
FLP 34.5
MAP 29.5
BAR 29.6
EBP 15.1
Volts 13.7

Are there any other gauges I need to program to help diagnose this problem (problems). Would it be safe to drive 50 miles to Mechanic?

Thanks,
Joey

Watch your FMP key off, key on and durning start. It should not drop below 46v.

FMP did not drop below 47.0 during k/off, k/on, or during crankup. What about the BAR and MAP being so high. Could this be a problem? thanks for replying.

That's pretty high coolant temp for no-load. Also, sounds like the oil cooler is plugging.

I am going to enter the code, my mith was different. Is there anything I can do other than replacing the oil cooler to prevent it from clogging.
Thanks,
Joey

You can try flushing and servicing the coolant system. Results for members here have been mixed. Some got better, some worse. Either way, cooling system should be serviced every 50k miles. Should be done prior to EGR/ oil cooler change anyway so it's worth a shot. Check the tech folder for lots of info.

I'm kind of wondering about ICP readings being below 1100 during drive. I'll have to watch mine in the morning, but it seems they should be higher.

Yup, getting a little off topic.high coolant temp and oil cooler clogging isn't likely causing rough running issue. I was thinking maybe double (or triple )check SG codes before condemning parts also. Here's a list of what I'm using Joey, haven't found any problems with them on my '06.
Sg2 codes w/values

He took it wrong
Throw that Number Out

Take numbers like this

OPERATING VALUES
Just make shure the numbers are taken exactly like this
Truck in PARK OR NEUTRAL all times during test
ECT at 190* or close to
-------------------------------------------------------------------
KOEO=Key On Engine Off =record value
Low Idel (truck idel on its own)=record value
High Idel (2500RPM)=record value
Values below are given in this order^^^Left to right
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

KO=0 LI=625.5 HI=1400-1450 OR=0-4045

Give the IPR% number too
