Sure you can clip your rails. Why you would want to is beyond me unless the CV failed.

You lifted your rails to achieve your straight axle drop. I should be afforded the same thing if comparing don't you think?

Garbz - no, I haven't finished the truck, but we did have a baby & another on the way, so my garage time has been nil.
I've read with interest your comments & have taken them to heart, and will take steps as you've advised to minimize my chance for failure.
I'm never quite sure why some folks can't take constuctive, professional advice (I refer to you and ND (among others) as the professionals/experts) without the conversation turning into a playground pissing match (from everyone else who refuses to take your advice into consideration).
I hope to get back to my '63 one of these days, but heck we've owned it for 20+ years, it'll be "done" someday…

I think Jason had his fill with folks tryin to down what he was doing. He is still working on his truck just tired of all the controversy. Yes I am part of that but not intentionally.
