buying an explorer
I am in the market for buying either a 2000 or 2001 Explorer Sport. Are there any major problems with either model? I am selling a 1995 F-150, and that model year had terrible transmissions and had serpentine belt problems.

There are no real serious issues that I know of with these, other than the usual Ford stuff. Pay close attention to the "blend door fix" posts on these forums, and you may want to check on the 4.0 forums about potential timing chain problems, but I believe that issue has been resolved. I see plenty of these trucks with WELL over 100,000 miles and they're still going strong.
