Updated STC question

Well RATS! My EOT/ECT delta has been a little high since last fall, I Was gonna change oil/EGR coolers over the holidays but lots of family stuff (and maybe lazy, or cheap) anyway delta been creeping up to 18-20 sometimes and been seeing a little white smoke on first start, until Tuesday. A lot of thick, white, coolant smelling smoke a mile from the house. Truck is parked. Did some pricing last night and I'm going to install a BDP cooler, and Ford Oil cooler ( sorry Benny, I know how you feel about EGR and you probably just groaned or did a face palm or sumthin ). Anyway, I asked about the STC at my local dealers parts counter and he said "yup, in stock $67.08" I asked if that was the Updated fitting and he looked at me for a second or two and said "it's the same one we use here in our shop" so I'm not sure that's what I need. Does someone have the P/N, or are me and the parts guy talking about the same thing? My truck is an '06 if my sig isn't showing. Thanks

Not much that I can think of, off the top of my head. I actually just arrived home from work not long ago, so I'm a little tired.

The only things I can think of, are 5/16" and 10 mm "Gearwrench" racheting wrenchs will be your best friends (a. k. a. most used tools). This along with a deep 7/16" or 11 mm socket (for the CAC hose and exhaust marmon clamps). Get lots of WD-40 or PB Blaster too, for all the wiring harness pushpin fasteners.

Remove the intake manifold, all intake manifold bolts (except the passenger rearmost bolt that won't clear the turbo downpipe), both intake gaskets with the EGR cooler attached as one entire assembly. Be careful not to damage the injector connectors during removal. An assistant handy will be helpful during this process.

Other than that, I can't think of anything else at the moment. Sorry, my brain is tired.
