Yes, any 2 stroke will do.

NOT "ANY" 2-Stroke... you want "Ashless."

The Walmart "TC3" or whatever the Super Tech brand is about the best deal out there of Ashless 2-Cycle. That's what I run, 1oz/gallon.

The Wal Mart that I buy mine from keeps the small bottles of the 2 stroke oil on the display near the wall, the gallons are kept on the aisle display.Ask a clerk if they have it in small bottles if you cannot find them. Also if you use the gallon size, you will need a funnel, but the small bottles will fit into the trucks filler door quite well.

What I did when I bought the gallon jug was to use some clean 16 oz soda bottles and would store them behind my back seat! When I filled up just grabbed a bottle and poured it in!! No muss no fuss!!

Maybe I should be using more than I do. I only use 1 of the small bottles for a tank every other tank full ( 38 gals. ).

See you learn something new everyday. I thought DK was the norm and didn't even consider the 2 Stroke oil. Now not taking cost into consideration, what do you guys think of a 2 to1 mixture of 2 stroke and DK. For example 16 oz of 2 stroke and 8 oz of DK mixed in a bottle and used. Both offer different properties and could be a better over all usage (at least in my twisted mind)?

Sorry didn't mean to hijack just curious...

I remember reading that 1/2 to 1 ounce of TCW3 rated oil per gallon of diesel fuel was the recommended mixing ratio.

I tried 1/2 ounce and thought it worked well. I have not tried the 1 ounce per gallon ratio.

The 2 stroke is just for lubrication only and the DK helps with celtane boost and helps clean and keep you fuel system clean and lubrication and a couple other things. I dont see a problem running both at the same time.

Just buy the gallon SuperTech 2 stroke oil at Walmart, about as good of a price as you will find. One quart per fill up for me. Definitely quiets my motor down
