Attack of DTC

P0238 Boost Sensor High
P0113 Intake Air Temp High
P0284 Cyl 8
P0401 EGR Low
P0528
P0603 KAM error
P132B
Also Cyl6 high and Cyl 6 balance.

Was running great, then i started it the next morning, was running like crap.

Alot of these codes were short cicut codes

So Id start looking for wire chaffe or engine wire harness plug loose

Just alot of electrical codes and no way all that stuff went bad got to be wireing/electrical

Make shure Batterys good conection

Have you done any recent work???

no recent work. I was also thinking that it must be a short or loose connection. I hope it is not a bad ECM though

P132B is a code related to the calibration from the recall 06E17 (part of the Inferred EBP strategy). It means that there is a problem with the VGT system. P132B is a fault code that is set if the required boost levels are not achieved during a learn cycle or at specific speed fuel demand points. This code indicates that there are issues with the turbocharger, MAF sensor, MAP sensor/hose, IAT2 sensor, intake leaks, or exhaust leaks, etc. Frequently it is a sticking turbo issue. This code can also throw a P0401 EGR code.

P0603 doesnt mean you have a problem, if you are runing any kind of chip, programmer ,etc. you will get that code , if you change programs or anything like that.



I think these two are a good place to start looking:

Code P0238 is set when the MAP signal is higher than the specified value for a length of time set by an incremental counter. This code is used to detect a MAP circuit shorted to power.

P0528 - Almost all of the time, when this code is shown, if there is no visible wire damage, the electric clutch has failed.

P0528 is fan speed sensor, and sometimes starts where the wiring crosses from motor to the fan. Some times it chaffs there. (at least that is where mine was created from.)

ok, It was a loose connector at the PCM. BUT I still have P0277 and P0278. Checked all of the wiring and swaped FICM, Still have the codes

Man I Nailed it or Dam close anyway

The Last 2 DTC going to be a BAD injector or Inject wire Harness or FICM

I assume you Triple checked the 3 Plugs at FICM to be Plugged Fulley In???

wait a Minute here

You had those 2 yesterday P0277 and P0278 and you traded to a Diffrent FICM so that rules out the FICM IMO

so Down to Injector or Injector wire Harness as the Culprit

The harness is 3 months old. I checked the harness. So it looks like I need a new injector.

Wonder who has the best injector for the price.

Still might be worth puting a DVM on the Injector harness and check for contiuity

OEM injectors have had the best sucess

IIRC 220.00$$$

Will check the harness in the morning. Is there is a problem with balance only replacing one?

IMO your fine to replace the one injector

Plus you only have a DTC for this injector so others arent weak enough to throw a DTC


But the only way to know if there are any other weak inject is a cylinder Balance Test
