...Well, got it back on the road yesterday after fixing oil leaks and got on this four lane stretch of road and took it to 70 mph, then heard this walla-walla-walla coming from the left front. Sounded like a tire out of balance. Got about 4 miles from home then heard grinding, cracking and popping .. Oh boy here we go, limped it home and pulled wheel and disk rotor off and I could barely turn the hub by hand. Well , got a new Timken bearing on the way. I sure hope this does it for awhile. My son commented the other day and said I think you bought that truck for something to do. I said yea right, it seems more like a second job, lol.
Yes when I had the early '99 it didn't have near the issues this one did.
dont say that stuff Uncle Bill......You will give me bad luck.....haha....sorry about the one more thing when you were at the shop yesterday it sounded good.....Look at the positive side no more oil drips...one step at a time
I know what ya mean. I am constantly working or paying somebody to work on mine. I am now putting off a possible injector install because as soon as I spend that money my tranny will take a dump.
