I have a 95 f150 4x4 sc sb. I was wonduring why my frame flexes so much. I know on all trucks the frame flexes around a lot, but I can watch my bed move side to side just driving down the road over normal bumps. And when I have like one or two wheels on a bump Ive seem the bed be offset from the cab as much as about 3". It also creeks off road sometimes too. I have only taken it off road 2 times and I just happen to start noticing it on the second time, because I heard it creaking. Thanks
So is there anything I should be worried about. It just seemed odd it flexed so much. It drives very nice though. But anything drives nice when my 2 previous daily drivers were a 66 mustang, and a 87 nissan pickup with 565,000 miles.
It's probably the cab moving and a bit of chassis flex all at once, the cab is mounted on rubber, while the bed is bolted directly to the frame, which alows for more movement than you'd think.
All I can say about chassis flex is, well, this:
Also note how the bumper, which is bolted directly to the frame is sitting at a different angle than the front clip, which is on rubber.
