1992 5.8L lower water jacket plugs

Hey all,

I'm flushing my coolant system. I've found and removed the water plug from the driver side of the engine. I think I found the one on the passenger side, just beneath the freeze plug behind the starter. Only problem is, there's no plug there. It's threaded like there should be one, but there's nothing there. I ran some wire into the hole, but there doesn't seem to be a blockage.

Does this sound like the correct location for a block water plug on the passenger side? Or is it somewhere else?

Also, any idea where I can get some of these plugs, other than a dealer? They're quite corroded.

Thanks!

I think the one on the passenger side is forward of the starter. As far as I know, these plugs are just 1/4 NPT threaded pipe plugs, so you should be able to source replacements from just about anywhere.
