H&S XRT Pro Tuner.
Don't know what tuner settings to run for best fuel economy....
Mild Tunes or Hot Damn Tunes and then Mild, Wild, or Hot.
Low boost Fuel setting?...0-5?.
Have heard/read to turn it all the way up (Hot Damn 300) but then drive easy for best mpg.
Or should the tuner be turned down for best mpg????
Opinions/ Experience.
BTW..... Still have urges to put my foot too far...Feels too good.
Sounds like tuner wise your there. Next, you need to tie an egg to the front face of the accelerator pedal and brake pedal. If you break the eggs, your pressing the pedals too hard. In other words, you need to take off slow and slow down early.

LOL.... I try harder....only have had the truck a couple of weeks now and what your suggesting is tough....but I may run out of eggs.
Basically, for takeoffs, you need to try and keep the RPM's below 2K and the boost below 10PSI as much as possible during takeoffs, lower is better. When your on the freeway or highway, avoid cruise control, it actually uses more fuel then trying to maintain a steady foot position. If you have some sort of monitor that gives real time fuel mileage (not the onboard message center), you can use that to gauge your fuel usage while at speed.
For braking, try to coast as much as possible. If your braking for the light, then you were using fuel up to the point you applied the brake. By letting off early and cruising to the light with moderate or little brake pressure, chances are it will turn green before you ever get there and you won't have to use as much fuel to get back up to speed. Let the ricers race from light to light, when the light turns green, you can drive right by them and if your truck is high enough you can just drive right over them.
BTW, what MPG numbers are you currently getting when all is said and done??

Right now I'm getting about 13.5 and it's mostly highway.
I constantly use the cruise control. I have the tuner on the highest setting (hot damn 300) and the low boost fuel is set at 1(0-5 range). I have not yet been successful at making it thru a whole tank without playing around some.
I will have to try some of these driving Tactics you are suggesting. I was under the impression that it was better to use the cruise control.

I use cruise control and get around 16-17 on the hwy. I still have my DPF. Try to keep your rpms 1500-2K and stay off the boost.
