76 f150 360 manual. 2100 2bl carb
The PO replaced the 360 and he had the vacuum lines all mixed up. I have most of it sorted (ie he had the vacuum advance hooked to manifold. its now back to ported vacuum).
Question:
1. There is a check valve in-line right before the EGR valve. Part# D32E-BA. I have not found this on any diagrams. Everything I have seen the hose is run right from the vacuum delay switch in the manifold to the EGR valve with nothing in between. Could this check valve (D32E-BA) be the one before the vacuum canister for the a/c controls as there is not one there and the diagrams I see shows a check valve before the can.
2. There is a 5-port vacuum tree at the rear passenger side of the manifold. Which port is for incoming vacuum from carb? I presume upper right? Or maybe no incoming vacuum at all?
Currently:
Top= brake booster
upper right= incoming vacuum (Is this correct?)
lower right= vac canister for a/c controls
upper left= went to distributor "WRONG" is now capped
lower left= capped
Thanks in advance. I know vacuum gets beaten to death.........
Question 2 has been sorted.
Now I just need to know about the valve in line before the EGR. It is green and black with part# D32E-BA on it. Is it supposed to be there or does it go inline somewhere else?
I had one on my truck (76 F250 4X4) facing the same way but removed it because once it opened the EGR, it wouldn't allow it to close when engine returned to idle. I'm wondering if it is defective or the wrong part.
