i just got an 03 ranger xlt supercab, 4x4 5sp 4.0L v6, and when i got and looked under the hood with it running it was making sort of a loud clicking noise, is that normal, or any idea what that is

Hello, welcome to the FTE Ranger Forum! I think what you may be hearing are the fuel injectors which is normal.
If the clicking is a few seconds apart, you may be hearing the AC relays clicking on and off... Thats what I hear in my 99... Took me a while to figure it out too...
