turbo problems, again...

hey i blew the turbo on my 194.5 7.3l di back on new years. pulled it out had it rebuilt.

four months later turbo started losing pressure and yesterday on the way home from work it stoped. pulled the inlet boot off and the impeller will not turn at all.

truck has 426,000 miles on it.

6,000 on the fully rebuilt turbo.

only use 15w40 shell rotela motor oil with a napa gold filter. k&n filter.

ok yes some of you will say its the filter but i know of plenty of trucks with over 200k that used a k&n from when they were bought with the factory turbo still in there.

could it be a bad rebuild or bad bearings?
have a pyro in the truck and never ran it past 900 even when towing.

Pull the boot and take a good picture of your turbo wheel.

It's pretty easy to tell if its from a bad air filtration.

As for rebuild issues, there are lots of factors in a rebuild.

if it lasted 6000, i'ma guess something was wrong, thats bout how long my bad rebuild lasted. Though that rebuild was because I had a bad bearing hub.

Who rebuilt your turbo?

So, if at 400K it reverted back to 300K, your truck has 526K on it, WOW!
