Threw a 1395 code at startup. Could this be a bad GPR? Or bad glowplugs? I believe AE said glowplugs misfire bank 1. I have noticed it has to crank over a few extra times to start.
I got to pull the VC to find all that stuff out correct? I am giving her a little bath in simple green right now. Checked all my wiring and put some dielectric grease around all the plugs and look what I found on the ipr plug
All the other plugs looked good.
You have to pull the whole harness and then pull the 2 pins on the main connector for the IPR and seperate it from the rest of the harness. Make sure to note where they plug in on the harness if you do this.
You'll need 2 sizes of heat shrink and RTV.
I stuck the plug in the vice and cleaned out the harness insides a bit and got all the gummy stuff out, then I pushed the heat shrink down in the hole on both wires and shrunk it.
Then I used the RTV to seal it up behind there to keep moisture out and to make it look purdy.
After that dried I put another piece of heat shrink on above that to pretty it up.
I think I have some more pictures around on the computer, I'll look for em.

You don't need to pull them to ohm the glow plugs. You can do it right through the pins. IIRC, outer ones are glow plugs, middle one is a ground, one each side of the middle is injectors.
