Recently picked up a trio of HO intakes for nothing and thought of maybe putting one on my 96 5l 2wd. Will doing so only be a lesson in futility or will it make enough of a power increase to make my efforts worthwile? All I currently have are the upper and lower halves of the plenum, so other than a throttle body and some fancy plumbing of the intake tube, what else do I need to make my truck attract the police even more than usual?

 

In my opinion it would be a waste of time and effort. The truck intake flows just as good as the stock mustang intake, and probably makes MORE low end power.
