'99 xl map lights not working

'99 xl map lights not working
Hi all,
I purchased a dome light with the two map lights on the side at a junkyard today to replace the plain single dome light w/o map lights that came stock in my truck. Both the truck I pulled the part from and my '99 have two wires to the light and a common ground. One wire is black and blue which powers the dome light, the other a green with a yellow stripe that supposedly powers the map lights. Both connect back to the frame with a common ground. Unfortunately the map lights aren't functional, I've tested the bulbs and know that the common ground is not the problem. My owner's manual states that map lights are run by fuse #4 which I have checked and found to be functional. Obviously the map lights must run to a different circuit as the dome as they must always have power. Does anyone know where the green wire goes to or what my problem might be?
