My brother's 2003 Explorer Sport (NOT a Sport Trac) has been making a low whirring sound. We thought it was the Axle Assembly, but change it did no good. Now tranny doesn't seem to shift. I have a couple questions:
-Can anyone tell me which transmission it has; The door code was 8W?
-Will An ODB II reader provide transmission codes?
_Any ideas or comments?
Additional problems that may or may not be related: Over Drive OFF button does not work nor will cruise control engage. Thanks.
