Pop, it was a great day today! WE had rain (downpour), and sunshine. Weather was a little odd, but we had plenty of covered area to hang out. Lots of projects were done and most of all many friendships were created and strengthed today! Pictures will be coming, just tuckered out tonight!
Big thanks to Mark for sharing his awesome place to have an event like this. Made lots of new friends and reconnected with old friends. Great to see everyone again. Thanks to Ken (Woodnthings) for putting on my HPOP oil lines and also my new boots. Thanks go out to our one and only Clay as well for helping install boots while I cleaned parts for reinstall.
I learned more yesterday from various people then I have in a long time. Love Marks Old John Deere tractor gotta love a two stroker.
Lots of projects done. Food was wonderful whoever made the macaroni salad it was amazing. I am sure pics will be up later. There was alot of pic snapping going on all day long.
I think there was as many dogs as people there yesterday which I love. The dogs were all wiped out tired by the end of the day im sure they all had a great time as well.
Overall it was a great day. We had several FRx installs, a couple AIS intakes, an exhaust, a couple sets of HPOP lines, a fuel bowl rebuild, oil change, door lock actuator swap, and a few I am sure I missed!
Okay, here are the photos that I was able to capture on my camera.
LOL, how many pics are there of me getting to really know my truck, my gf has a few as well....
My first time, everyone made us feel so comfortable and were so helpful and pushy (in a good way) to get projects done. I was able to do the exhaust, engine oil, a nice tail gate detail, AIS, power steering flush and lots of good friendships. I came with a list and with the help of others knocked off more in one day than I could do in a week (ok, month..).
I have to admit the truck, fte and friends can be quite addicting - learning about diesels and wanting to take it to the next level - wow.
Mark - thanks again for your hospitality and to everyone who made us feel welcome and fed us , food was amazing and Lynn can't stop talking about the cup cakes, mac salad and those pickles. The farm is simply amazing.
The dogs had a great time, although Sienna will forever have nightmares of the electric fence, and Bailey couldn't stop pointing at the cows (he is a bird dog but its been a long time... ).
Next time I will leave my rubbermaids at home, but it was sure nice having them just in case .
Pics will be added soon - just filtering them - some folks were a little camera shy.
Already looking forward to the next one. Thanks again everyone!
Great time! Thanks to all that were able to come. Had some spring weather in summer but all went well. Forgot to get my camera out until late in the day but I will post them up shortly.
Had a great time as always Mark. Thanks again for all your help with the lock actuators. I couldn't have done it without your expert guidance. And as always, yours and Karen's hospitality knows no bounds.
Whoever helped with the door lock actuators (mark +?) a HUGE thanks from myself and my Boss Anne from down here in Soquel Ca. That is her excursion and she appreciates the help.
Peter THANK YOU for taking it up there and getting those few things buttoned up for us.
Folks please rep both of them for me, i think im in jail.
