2 stupid questions

I have 2 dumb questions
1. Is there a draain on the block of the 4.2 v6 to drain all the coolant?
2. What fluid ddoe my m5r2 take atf(what version) or gear oil ( what weights)

You want to use the latest Mercon stuff and yes you can drain the coolant. Also use long life.

Because draining the coolant at home opens a whole can of worms for many DIY's. Using the patient drain of the radiator and refil is best. Using a flush Y installed in a heater hose can create a whole lot of problems for you. Adding a corrosion additive is also good.

I dont mind the worrms i prefer to do all the work myself. For flushing and bypassing ther ad,can i just stick a garden hose in the water pump and flush it like that then refill the system using geen coolant? Or possibly Caterpillar extended coolant?
