I'm looking for some measurements from a 302/351W with a true flywheel on it, not a flexplate. The measurements are to determine if a small-block input shaft for a ZF5 would resolve some of the issues when mating one of the 460 versions of the ZF with a 351M/400.
Specifically, I'm looking for:
The distance from the rear face of the flywheel to the rear face, the tranny-mounting flange, of the block
The distance from the rear of the pilot bearing to the rear face of the block.
Or, if someone has just the flywheel, I need the distance from the rear of the crank pocket to the rear face of the flywheel. IOW, the thickness of the flywheel less the depth of the crank pocket. That's because I have a 351W which I can measure and, with your dimensions, figure it all out. Oh yes, I'd like the dimensions on the pilot bearing as well.
I have my 351W sitting on an engine cradle. No flywheel mounted but there should be one somewhere. Ill try my best for you - close call though, everything is getting packed up tomorrow.

Thanks!! But if all you can snag are the measurements for the flywheel then I can take it from there.
I dont have it in front of me(mobile), but some that info is on the Ford Motorsports catalog under crate engines, you should be able to download a copy.

Matt - Thanks. I found this page but none of those documents has the dimensions I'm looking for. However, I'll keep poking around there. Thanks again.
Sorry Gary, the flywheel must be boxed up and taken in a previous trip. I only came across a 302 flexplate.
You tried anyway. Thanks! Maybe someone else will have a flywheel. Or, I could see how the 351M's flywheel would look on a 351W - in the CAD drawing at least. Surely the flywheels aren't too different dimensionally.
