I just bought this from a member at OFCC, he had to sell and I was lucky enough to ****** up his running project. I always wanted to build this exact truck one day, but this opportunity came along so I jumped on it. Ive been watching ChaseTruck and DirtyDeeds threads and have been so jealous, now I have a truck of my own. I know I didnt BUILD mine like they are, but I dont have the time or place to build one for a couple of years so this was my only option to have my dream truck and drive it right away. I plan on continuing the build and have already put in temporary seat covers and head liner. Wifey wants to have it painted ASAP, then I'll work on some of the other fun stuff. But for now its just going to be my DD.
I recently moved into my new house in Santa Maria and started my new contract at the airport and have been driving my truck daily. As the truck is still relatively new to me, I still cant believe the mileage im getting. The MPG is as good or better than my wifes Liberty, it just doesnt seem right to be able to drive my big ol truck around and the gas gauge hardly moves. I think Im going to try and join the local community college this fall and see if I cant get my truck painted and then see if the upholstery class needs some seats to practice on. Im gonna put it up on jack stands this next week and check out everything on the front end and check all the fluids. I drove it down the coast on blind faith and everything luckily worked out, but I have to put my hands on everything to make sure I dont need anything. If all else, just for my own piece of mind.
