I noticed on my edge insight today that my battery voltage was only about 13.6-13.7 volts driving and down to about 13.3 idling. This was in 85 degrees F outside temp with a/c on and the radio. I always thought I should be at 14 volts. Are my batteries or alternator going bad? On my first start this morning the truck fired up so quick I barely heard it crank, so I can't imagine my batteries are bad.
Alternator only gives the batteries what they need. Your numbers look fine to me. Check the battery voltage in the morning before starting the truck. If they're 12.5 or higher, preferably 12.7 they are in good shape.
Mine run 13.2-13.6 running down the road all the time, and battery volts about 12.6-12.9 in morning before start. Both are original batteries so i'm watching closely 6 years on them.

Mike is RIGHT^^^^^
Mine Float right around 12.6volts
They Charge at 14.0-14.3volts
And hang right around 13.3-13.6volts while running
From what Iv noticed with my own truck is the Battery Light on the dash is very accurite it pops on you have a Problem if its NOT ON your GOOD to GO
