86 bronco 2 trouble
my little brother has a bronco 2 and has been dumping money in it every other day for a year its an electrical mess and has over 400000 miles on it. so basically i was wanting to no what motors can bolt up to his automatic tranny its a 2.9 4x4 auto. today it took a **** on him at the gas station and im done messing with it. also what does it take to put a carberated 302 in it. with auto trans and transfer case. plz help fast hes needs it for school and work.

Only the 2.8 V6, 2.9V6 and the 4.0V6 will bolt up to a 2.9 transmission.
302 Swaps are common and not too difficult, but it's not something you can expect to bang out in a weekend. You'll also need a different transmission and driveshaft of course.
