Oh no, just what I need more work!...does any one here have hands on experience with changing out the old tube. I bought a DORMAN 905-100 Steering Column shift tube. My mane question is on the tools required for this job. One vehicle household, so once I get into it, the walk to buy a tool is a long one. I just want to have everything that I will need on hand, I have a ton of tools, but wonder if something will trip me up. Thanks for any help!
As far as I remember it is a #2 phillips and maybe a pair of needle nose. It's just a pin that holds that shift tube on. Once you get the plastic cover off the steering column you should be able to see the pin.

Thanks WB, so the steering wheel gets pulled and unbolt the column?
You need a Torx-27 to remove the tube. A hammer and some sort of punch to remove/reinstall that pin. The steering wheel doesn't need to be removed.
Oh and a 13mm socket with an extension to lower the column.
Thanks peter, exactly what I was looking for...reps given to ya...I would have pulled the wheel, so you saved me that. Had the Torx but no deep 13m...an open box wrench worked fine though
