I have a 1991 Ford F250 where I'm trying to track down and replace bad wiring. I keep blowing the fusible link for the trailer running lights. I've replaced a lot of wiring, but I found more problems, at the back of the connector.
I took a look at the back of the connector where the wires go in, and started inspecting them, looking through them. I pulled a wire and it's like it fell off or something. I'm colorblind, but it looks red with a white stripe on it. There are "8" wires going into the 7 wire connector! I took apart the connector and yeah, some of these wires have like 2 strands still hangin on the connector. But I cannot find where this 8th wire went? There appears to be another red wire with a white stripe on it. I plan on taking apart and cleaning/repairing this connector.... but what's with this extra wire? Where does it go?
