Basic question on cat back

I've seen the term "cat back system" in a lot of discussion, but I don't know if this is a high performance catalytic converter, or just a nickname for the whole system.

Any FTE'ers know? I will be upgrading my '89 F150 V8/351w muffler soon, and I may want to do more to get better performance.

Thanks,

-rlp

Basic question on cat back

The term "cat back" means replacing all the exhaust system after the catalytic converter. I have been real happy with a stainless
system made by Gibson.
