Hello all,
Not sure if you remember us but Bob is my truck a 1986 F-350 4X4 Crew Cab and he has issues.
We finally are getting actual truck manifolds for his 460 and a custom pipe system. Running dual 2.25" pipe into a Flowmaster Series 50 SUV muffler with dual inlets and a 3" single outlet and exiting behind the rear passenger tire. The system is going to be pieced with flanges for easy removal and adaptation.
We are going to be looking for headers soon and wanted to know if anyone elses has a truck like Bob with a soild front axle and leaf springs and a 460 using headers that are quality and fit without frame mods.
We are particularly interested in any experiences with Thorley Tri-Ys and Sanderson Shortys.
Oh and to remind you all of how finicky Bob can be, I made sure he was ready for inspection and then when we got there he decides to make his rear turn signals inoperable. 1 1/2 hourrs later it was a fused bulb. Bulb $1.90 labor to trace wiring to find recently replaced bulb $75. Bob like to make me sweat it out.
