Question Intermediate steering shaft question

How do I get the shaft over the rag joint? I can't get it over the pins so I can bolt it down? Any ideas? Thanks. I can take a picture if need.

The old(? The one on the right) one looks like it has two differently-sized arms or pegs or protrusions or whatever you want to call those things?

I ran into that on my 77 F150. The ****** that make the replacement rag joints don't seem to understand "one large and one small pin".

The one on the right is usable I just couldn't find the bottom plate that bolts to the shaft so I ordered the new one and that plate don't fit on the rag joint that's picture to the right

Where are you getting these from? Can you take your old one to a parts store and compare it side by side with a replacement they offer?
