Am planning on buying a 2003 Ex Limited 4WD this week
with 139k miles from the original owner for 15k with 6.0L.

Ran the oasis and it shows a number of recalls done as well as 7 injectors replaced, turbo replaced, rear main seal. My Ford Mechanic said none of this would concern him, especially in light of the fact I will be bullet proofing the engine. What are the local EXperts opinions based on the info I have?

Truck is clean, 9 out of 10 inside and out with quad captains and DVD etc.
Guy has changed oil and filters every 5k miles.

The replacement of so many injectors would be my only concern. They may have failed because if a failing FICM, or fuel pump. Those components should be looked at more carefully. Also have a test drive done and monitor the difference between oil and coolant temps.

The work was done in 2005 and 2006 so it's been a while.
I ha planned on having Ed rework the FICM anyway?

So in talking to the owner and looking over the Oasis report and discussing with a few Ford mechanics I am going to still pull the trigger.

They owner said after the warranty ran out he replaced one injector and an EGR valve that went to crap on a road trip in Colorado.
